Ronaldo has come out in a scathing attack on his club Manchester United, which has come as a bit of a shock for many.

Ronaldo was already a Manchester United legend

The reason it would have taken many aback, is because Ronaldo is widely regarded as a Manchester United legend. The Portuguese international is in his second spell as a Red Devil having arguably already secured his status as a legend of the club before signing for Real Madrid in 2009.

Before leaving for Madrid, Ronaldo secured his name in Manchester United folklore by helping them win several English Premier League titles from 2003 to 2009. He also helped them secure the Uefa Champions League title in 2009 and won the first Ballon d’or of his career while still at the club. At Madrid, however, that is where he was arguably at the peak of his powers, winning multiple La Liga titles as well as Champions League trophies. On an individual scale, he would go on to win four more Ballon d’or titles while with Los Blancos.

It once looked all so rosy

At the beginning of last season Ronaldo returned to Manchester United via Juventus in a move that was seen as one of the biggest come backs in the history of the game. He had a fairytale second debut for the club, scoring a brace against Newcastle United at Old Trafford. He would go on to become a key cog for the club even through their struggles, scoring over 20 goals in all competitions.

However, this season he has been far from a regular under manager Erik ten Hag. Ronaldo has had his fair share of controversial moments which have drawn action from the Dutch manager. What seemed to be the final drawer was the interview with Morgan, where the player revealed he has no respect for ten Hag while also bringing the club into disrepute. Strong rumours then started coming out, suggesting that ten Hag wanted Ronaldo out of the club immediately.

Game over for Ronaldo?

Now, if the latest visuals are anything to go by, it seems like the Manchester United owners, the Glazers concur with ten Hag’s view point and have agreed to move Ronaldo on. This comes after a video recently surfaced, showing a giant mural of the player being removed outside Old Trafford, check it out below.
