Marcus Rashford has been red-hot for Man United in the Premier League this season and Arsenal legend Ian Wright thinks Benni McCarthy should be lauded for that.

Rashford scored again for the Red Devils at the weekend in their 2-0 win away to Leeds. Teenage Argentine Alejando Garnacho scored the other goal to keep United in the title race.

Rashford’s form has caught the eye of former striker and Arsenal legend Ian Wright who believes the introduction of the South Africa legend has benefited the versatile forward.

REVEALED: Why Vincent Kompany wanted to sign Lyle Foster so badly

“I think the acquisition of Benni McCarthy, a striker coach, has helped him,” Wright said as quoted by Give Me Sport.

“When you look at the movement for that goal… it was brilliant. And that says to me that someone like Benni McCarthy’s working very closely with him. He has improved no end.”

Red-hot Rashford will be key a crunch time for United

Only Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Ivan Toney have scored more EPL goals than Rashford’s 12 this term. He’s already trebled last season’s tally and there are still 15 matches left in United’s league season. Benni McCarthy, Rashford and Man United are gearing up for a big couple of weeks. They face Barcelona in the Europa League on Thursday February 16th and have an EFL Cup final date on the horizon against Newcastle.

Benni McCarthy will be focusing his attacking troops on the Camp Nou. Are you going to be spending Valentine’s Day watching the Champions League?
