Manchester United pulled off one of the, if not thee biggest transfer coups on the final weekend of the transfer window, when they announced the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

This will be Ronaldo’s Second Manchester United spell

Ronaldo had previously signed for Manchester United in 2003, after a dazzling performance for Sporting Lisbon convinced legendary United boss Sir Alex Ferguson to sign the then 18-year-old.

He would then go on to become a Premier League sensation and overall club legend, having won multiple top honours for the club, including three Premier League titles, and FA Cup, two Football League Cups , a Community Shield, a Uefa Champions League as well as FIFA Club World Cup during his first stint at Manchester United. His initial stint at the club would also coincide with his first FIFA Ballon d’Or award.

Ronaldo would then go on to leave Manchester United after their Champions League loss to Barcelona. The Portuguese international captain would then sign for European giants Real Madrid for a then record transfer fee of 80 million pounds, which was quickly broken by Kaka who soon followed him to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

The winger-cum striker would then go on to win further team and individual honours with Real Madrid before transferring to another European giant in Juventus, where Ronaldo spent another two successful years at the Italian “Old Lady”.

Back for a second spell

He has now made a sensational return to Manchester United, with Ronaldo touching down in Manchester last week. The five time Ballon d’Or winner was recently re-handed his iconic number seven jersey which he wore at the club during his initial six-year spell. He is now set to make his second debut for the club against Newcastle but is currently undergoing a mandatory quarantine period.

If images released of Ronaldo’s reported Manchester mansion are anything to go buy, then his quarantine period won’t seem too bad after all. According to the pictures, the mansion consists of a swimming pool, gym and Cinema. The property is believed to be rented for Ronaldo by Manchester United and has six security personnel doing the rounds throughout the day and night.
