The former Mamelodi Sundowns star is yet to feature for Brighton since signing for the club in 2018 due to work permit issues however Graham Potter and Brighton are working overtime to secure Percy Tau’s visa for him ahead of the January transfer window.

“It’s fair to say it’s something we’re looking to do, but there’s a few things to go through first.” Potter told SkySports regarding Percy Tau.

“He brings some attributes that are interesting, he has had a good experience in Belgium. He brings something a little bit different to what we have got and he wants to take the next step in his career – we want to help him do that.”

Tau’s EPL dream

“I think I’ve been doing well, I think I’ve been trying my best every time. For sure, I’ve been on loan for three seasons but I think there’s been progress in my game, and I went to Brugge and won the league.” – Percy Tau said in November regarding his hopes of playing in the English Premier League.

“I don’t see any issues with that. But I’ve always said that there have been regulations that were forcing me out. It’s not about talent or belief, so we’ll have to see whenever it does happen, but I just have to keep on working hard,”.

The English Premier League transfer window opens on 02 January 2021 and Percy Tau will now be banking on Brighton pulling through for him with regards to his work permit.

Bright currently sit in 17th position on the English Premier League standings having scored just 16 goals in their opening 14 fixtures and will undoubtedly be looking at the magical Percy Tau to give them a much needed attacking boost.
