Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has broken yet another record in his illustrious footballing career.
Ronaldo has not even kicked a ball yet for Manchester United this weekend, but has already earned another record.
Ronaldo’s Manchester United have suffering of late
Despite a promising start to his Manchester United career, Ronaldo has endured a rather tough follow up period which has coincided with the club’s own torrid run of games. The Red Devils have not earned an English Premier League win since their away 2-1 victory over West Ham United.

Since then, Manchester United have failed to win against the likes of Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester City as well as Liverpool. Even though Ronaldo is able to score yet another dramatic late winner in the Uefa Champions League game at home to Atalanta, the Portuguese international has surprisingly found himself in an uncharacteristic goal drought during this ratchet run.

Last Sunday’s 5-0 thrashing at Old Trafford by Manchester United’s arch-rivals Liverpool will undoubtedly be the worst result of the bunch for Ronaldo, but at least he was able to find some joy off the pitch this week.

On Thursday, Ronaldo discovered that although he may have been firing blanks in the league for Manchester United in the league of late, he was having no such problems with his partner in bed, with his “shot on target” earning him a brace, in the sense that the couple announced that they were expecting the birth of twins.

Ronaldo’s social media post confirming the news, was not met by just mere delight, but a record breaking result also. The picture saw Ronaldo earn 26 million likes on social media, at the time of posting this article. That in itself would delight the five-time ballon d’or winner especially since he naturally wants to be the best in everything he does.

But perhaps, what will delight Ronaldo the most, is the fact that he surpassed long-term rival Lionel Messi, who’s picture with his family previously had the record at 22 million likes.
