Manchester City dig up their Etihad Stadium pitch – PICTURE!

Premier League champions Manchester City have wasted no time in digging up their Etihad Stadium pitch ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Premier League champions Manchester City have wasted no time in digging up their Etihad Stadium pitch ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Manchester City were crowned champions of England in the recently-concluded season when they finished a full 12 points ahead of neighbours Manchester United.

The title was City’s seventh all-time and fifth since the 2011/12 season.

The Etihad Stadium turf was at times this past season deemed to be not as smooth as desired and Covid-19 had prevented an earlier resurfacing.

Manchester City will take on Chelsea in the final of the Champions League in Porto on Saturday, 29 May.

Kick-off is at 21:00 SA time.
