Man United players get ahead of themselves

The Red Devils bear Barcelona in the Europa League and won the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle. This run of fine form led the players to start boldly speaking about how they fancied their chances of catching leaders Arsenal and champions Man City in the WhatsApp group chat.

The 7-0 hammering at Anfield will surely come as a serious reality check. They’re now 14 points adrift of Arsenal and nine behind City. Arsenal’s dramatic 3-2 win over Bournemouth where Hale End graduate Reiss Nelson drove in a 97th-minute winner to send Emirates stadium into raptures.

“We are going to keep going, game by game, day by day,” Nelson said after the game when asked about the ongoing title race.

Jesus to return before Easter?

There are rumours that Gabriel Jesus might even be included in Arsenal’s traveling squad to Portugal. They face Sporting in Lisbon in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16. Deputy striker Eddie Nketiah has performed admirably in Jesus’ absence, but Nketiah too picked up an injury of his own and missed the Gunners’ thrilling 3-2 win over Bournemouth.
