Chelsea star striker Romelu Lukaku has apologised for the remarks he made that he hopes to return to Inter Milan one day.

Chelsea star striker Romelu Lukaku has apologised for the remarks he made that he hopes to return to Inter Milan one day.

Lukaku who rejoined Chelsea on a five-year contract from Inter in the off-season, made the comments to Sky Sports last week.

WHAT DID LUKAKU SAY TO SKY SPORTS?

“Now it’s the right time to share my feelings. I have always said that I have Inter in my heart: I know I will return to Inter, I really hope so. I am in love with Italy, this is right moment to talk and let people know what really happened.”

Now, Lukaku, after being left out of the Chelsea squad for the Liverpool match last weekend, has apologised to the fans, the board, manager Thomas Tuchel and his teammates.

Tuchel has since confirmed Lukaku’s return to the Chelsea squad, and the Belgium international is in contention for the game against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
