The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have congratulated Bafana Bafana icon Benni McCarthy on his new coaching gig at Manchester United.

McCarthy joined Manchester United in a shock move on Saturday, and he will be responsible for coaching their first team attackers.
The 44-year-old former Cape Town City mentor had not been attached to any team since his departure from AmaZulu in March 2022.

At some point, McCarthy was heavily linked with a possible move to Orlando Pirates, but the appointment of Jose Riveiro ended the speculation.
A number of other teams, including SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs were also bandied about, but McCarthy was overlooked until Manchester United came knocking for his signature.

McCarthy will be coaching the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial among other attackers in the current Manchester United squad.
