Will he or won’t he? Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been going back and forth on a stratospheric offer from Saudi Arabia.

Cristiano Ronaldo ready to accept mind-boggling Al Nassr offer?

CR7, aka Mr. Champions League, initially seemed ready to spurn any and all mega offers from Saudi Arabia in favour of a club playing in the Champions League. It appears as though that stance has changed. Money does talk, after all. This proposal from Saudi side Al Nassr will end Ronaldo’s fairytale journey in Europe as he would join a club in the country where Lionel Messi is currently an ambassador.

Breakdown of CR7’s proposed new deal

It’s understood that Al Nassr will pay Cristiano Ronaldo €100m annually, a figure that eclipses the €75m and €70m earned by PSG duo Messi and Neymar respectively. However, ‘economic incentives’ built into the deal will see CR7 pocket closer to €200m annually. Needless to say, it will make him the richest person in sport right now, and indeed in the history of all sport.

These reports from Marca in Spain are countered by those from Sky in England, which claim that nothing has been agreed. Time will tell. One thing is for sure, Cristiano just can’t stay out of the news. Meanwhile, his Portugal side is in action tonight as they lock horns with Switzerland in the World Cup round of 16.
