Mdantsane to stay?

But the player’s current club, Cape Town City, are saying “not so fast” … at least that’s the message from owner John Comitis.

“At the moment nothing is happening. We are waiting for the end of the season. After that we will make a decision about the players,” Comitis said Isolezwe.

“At the moment we are giving all the players a chance to prove themselves on the field in the five games left before the end of the season.

“There has been a lot said regarding our players, but we will not discuss this until somebody approaches us directly and makes an offer,” he continued. “So far nobody has contacted us regarding any of our players. It’s all just rumours.”

Chiefs withdrew January offer

Mdantsane was close to joining Chiefs in the January window.

City head coach Eric Tinkler recently suggested the club had virtually accepted they would be losing the talented player during the last transfer window, until the deal unexpectedly fell through.

“The little that I know, it was very, very close, it was literally last minute that Kaizer Chiefs opted not to go through with the deal,” Tinkler told Marawa Sports Worldwide.
