Cavin Johnson: I would happily return to Al Ahly

Former Al Ahly assistant coach Cavin Johnson says he would happily return to the Egyptian giants if the opportunity presents itself.

Former Al Ahly assistant coach Cavin Johnson says he would happily return to the Egyptian giants if the opportunity presents itself.

Johnson has been out of the job since leaving Al Ahly at the end of last season after spending just less than a year with the African giants.

Reflecting on his stay with Al Ahly, Johnson admitted that he had a wonderful time, saying working at the club added to his experience.

“My time with Al Ahly was wonderful. I worked with a professional team and it added to my experience, Al Ahly is an African icon,” Johnson told ONTime Sports TV channel as per Kingfut.

Asked about the reason behind his departure from Al Ahly, Johnson was rather diplomatic, saying strong relationships do come to an end at times.

He added that he would gladly welcome the return to Al Ahly if he’s offered to go back to Pitso Mosimane’s coached team.

“Sometimes a strong relationship comes to an end, that’s what happened. If a chance avails itself I would happily return to Al Ahly,” added Johnson.

A few months ago, Johnson was heavily linked with a possible move to Orlando Pirates but the reports have since died down.
