Cairo derby: Zamalek name squad for Al Ahly clash

Zamalek head coach Patrice Carteron has announced his 22-man squad to face Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League’s first Cairo derby of the season on Friday, 5 November.

Kick-off is at 20:00 SA time.

Both sides have made perfect starts to the season after two matches.

Zamalek, who are the league’s defending champions, won their two opening matches 2-0 against both ENPPI and El-Gaish.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly have beaten Ismaily (4-0) and National Bank (1-0) and currently top the standings, ahead of Zamalek on goal difference.

Neither side has conceded a goal as yet.

Zamalek, who will host the match at the Cairo International Stadium, have no injury worries and head into the match will a full compliment of players following the return of Youssef Obama.
