Percy Tau named in Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly CAF Champions League squad

Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has named his squad for their first leg home CAF Champions League quarter-final clash against Raja Casablanca.

Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has named his squad for their first leg home clash against Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals on Saturday, 16 April.

The Red Devils had a difficult time in the Champions League this season, only earning qualification to the quarter-finals in their final group game against Sudan’s Al Hilal.

Moroccan side Raja Casablanca advanced to the quarter-finals after dominating their group with five wins and one defeat, earning 15 points in the process.

Ahead of the match, Pitso Mosimane revealed his 24-man squad to take on Raja Casablanca at the Al Salam Stadium with the South African coach handed a double boost in his options.

Mohamed Hany has returned to the Al Ahly squad after his injury against Sudan’s Al-Merrikh in the tournament’s group stages.

Veteran winger Walid Soliman was also included with the 37-year-old’s most recent appearance coming against Al-Hilal in the FIFA Club World Cup’s third-place decider back in February.

Kick-off is at 22:00 (SA time).
