Percy Tau’s Al Ahly face-off with Wydad Casablanca in this year’s CAF Champions League final.

This year’s final will be played over two legs, the first of which taking place tonight!

Al Ahly booked their place in the final after overcoming Esperance De Tunis.

Wydad on the other hand stunned Mamelodi Sundowns in their two legged semi-final clash.

Percy Tau starts in CAF Champions League final

Al Ahly XI: Shoubir, Hany, Ibrahim, Abdelmoneim, Maaloul, Fathy, Dieng, Marwan, El Shahat, Kahraba, Tau.

Wydad Casablanca XI: El Motie, Farhane, Zola, Daoudi, Attiat-Allah, Jaadi, Jabrane, Amloud, Hassouni, Moutaraji, Sambou.

Tonight’s clash at the Cairo International Stadium gets underway at 20:00.

There’s bad news for Percy Tau fans in South Africa. The SABC have confirmed that the match will NOT be televised live on their regular platforms.

It will however be televised on their Open View channel while you can live stream it on the SABC SPORT website for free.

The match will also be televised on SuperSport PSL.

Al Ahly legend lauds South African star

“Continuity of Percy Tau playing and maintaining his physical fitness and avoiding injuries made him perform at this level.” Al Ahly legend Emad Meteb told KingFut ahead of the CAF Champions League final

“Tau is currently in full fitness and full artistic performance. He scored two goals today and played an important role on the field.

“These are advantages that should be credited to the coach who dealt with him well and with all the players.

“The current generation has the ability to achieve what happened in 2005 and 2006, 2007 and 2008, four consecutive CAF Champions League finals Al Ahly won three of them, and I hope that the team wins this year.”
