Al Ahly would’ve been eliminated from contention had Al-Hilal won, but the Sudanese side and Masandawana drew 1-1.

Khuliso Mudau opened the scoring in the 67th minute, before Mohamed Abdel Raman equalised in the 72nd minute.

Al-Hilal missed a penalty in extra-time that would’ve seen them progress to the playoffs.
