Daniel Akpeyi returned to the Kaizer Chiefs starting line-up against Wydad Casablanca for the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final on Saturday.

And the Nigeria international didn’t disappoint as he kept a clean sheet that helped Chiefs reach their first ever CAF Champions League final.

Chiefs drew the match 0-0 but they advanced to the final with a 1-0 aggregate win over the Moroccan giants.

Akpeyi was voted man of the match for his stellar performance in between the sticks for Chiefs as he made NINE saves that kept Wydad at bay.

The clean sheet was Akpeyi’s sixth in as many matches for Chiefs in the CAF Champions League, meaning the lanky goalkeeper is yet to concede since the start of the competition last year.
