Kaizer Chiefs ‘keeper Bruce Bvuma makes CAFCL Team of the Week!

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has made the CAF Champions League Team of the Week despite conceding three goals against Simba SC.

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has made the CAF Champions League Team of the Week despite conceding three goals against Simba SC.

Bvuma kept his place in the Amakhosi starting line-up for a second success CAF Champions League match against the same opponents.

Coach Gavin Hunt stood his ground and overlooked both Daniel Akpeyi and Itumeleng Khune who were on the bench.

And the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper didn’t disappoint so much so that he even earned praise from the majority of fans who watched Chiefs battle it out against Simba.

CAF also recognized Bvuma for his stellar performance between the sticks for Chiefs on the day by including him in the best team of the week.

Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns have two representatives in the 11 players who were head and shoulders above the rest this past weekend.

Striker Mauricio Affonso and defender Mosa Lebusa also made the cut after impressing in Sundowns’ 1-1 draw at home against Al Ahly.

Sundowns crashed out of the competition with 3-1 aggregate defeat to the Club the Century.
