Sundowns lead Group B with seven points after three games. Visitors Al Ahly, under the tutelage of Marcel Koller, have never won a game on South African soil. Masandawana will be banking on a capacity crowd with supporters able to watch the game for free.

Sundowns did the double over record 10-time African champions Al Ahly last season. Needless to say, they’ll be confident here, although they need to exorcise the demons of last season when they went out at the quarterfinal stage to Petro de Luanda.

Kaizer Chiefs: Why the Christian Saile suspension is a blessing in disguise

Head coach Rhulani Mokwena is desperate for his side to go all the way in this competition with Downs cruising in the PSL, despite a 1-1 draw at the weekend against Stellenbosch. If they can win here in Tshawne against Al Ahly, they’ll go a long way to eliminating one of the biggest sides on the continent. They’d likely advance alongside Sudanese giants Al Hilal. Historically speaking, Al Ahly have faced South African teams 13 times in CAF competitions on South African soil. They’ve yet to win a game here.

Ka Bo Yellow vs Al Ahly at Loftus Versfeld Stadium kicks off at15:00 on Saturday. See you there!
