AmaZulu WILL outshine Kaizer Chiefs warns Benni McCarthy!

AmaZulu FC head coach Benni McCarthy is adamant his side will go on to better Kaizer Chiefs’ CAF Champions League performances!

AmaZulu head coach Benni McCarthy believes his side are capable of outshining Kaizer Chiefs by winning the CAF Champions League.

AmaZulu will be campaigning in the CAF Champions League this season after finishing second in the DStv Premiership and Benni McCarthy believes there’s no reason why his side can’t create history by going on to lift the title in their first attempt.

Kaizer Chiefs produced a number of remarkable performances in the in the CAF Champions League last season however they ultimately fell at the final hurdle after going down against Pitso Mosimane Al Ahly in the final.

“We can go one better than Kaizer Chiefs in the Champions League. No disrespect to Chiefs but we genuinely think we can do better‚” Benni McCarthy told the public on Thursday afternoon.

AmaZulu unveil SEVEN new players

AmaZulu are clearly not taking their maiden CAF Champions League campaign lightly after unveiling a host of new players ahead of the new season.

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Buchanan as well as Maritzburg United winger Mxolisi Kunene headlined AmaZulu’s new signings.

Former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Philani Zulu was also unveiled by Usuthu while young Gambian international midfielder Matarr Ceesay, who had been playing in Senegal will also be looking to leave his mark at the Durban based outfit.

AmaZulu have also promoted two youngsters in the form of Tshepang Moremi and Lindani Shange ahead of their historic season that’s fast approaching.

AmaZulu will be competing on all fronts starting with the MTN8 which gets underway next weekend. They’ll then have to hold their nerve in the CAF Champions League qualification rounds while also competing in the DStv Premiership.

Mamelodi Sundowns will be competing with Usuthu in the CAF Champions while Marumo Gallants and Orlando Pirates will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup. Kaizer Chiefs missed out on continental football after failing to win last season’s final.
