EVERY team to have qualified for CAF Champions League group stage to date

Fifteen of 16 CAF Champions League spots for this season’s tournament have been taken while the final one will be up for grabs on Thursday.

Fifteen of 16 CAF Champions League spots for this season’s tournament have been taken while the final one will be up for grabs when AS Vita and RC Kadiongo face off on Thursday.

Mamelodi Sundowns earned their slot in the group stages after thumping La Passe by a 15-1 aggregate scoreline.

Egyptian giants Zamalek also progressed to the group phase after a 5-1 victory over Burundi’s Flambeau du Centre for a 6-1 aggregate score.

Angola’s Petro de Luanda, semi-finalists of last year’s edition also earned a group stage berth after a 1-0 win at home against Cape Town City

After losing the first leg 2-1, Wydad Athletic Club trashed Nigeria’s Rivers United 6-0 to keep their title defence on track.

Vipers SC of Uganda shocked TP Mazembe knocking them out 4-2 on penalties to progress to the group stages of the CAF Champions League for the first time ever.

Meanwhile, record champions Al Ahly also eased into the group stage with a well worked 3-0 victory at home against Tunisia’s US Monastir, progressing with a 4-0 aggregate score.

Esperance also progressed, edging out Nigeria’s Plateau United on the away goals rule. They won 1-0 at home to tie the scores 2-2 on aggregate, having lost the first leg 2-1.

Raja Club Athletic also progressed after edging out Nigeria’s Nigelec 3-0 on aggregate following a 1-0 return fixture victory in Casablanca.
