Al Ahly bad-boy returns after fall-out with Pitso Mosimane

Al Ahly striker Mahmoud Kahraba has returned to the squad after a one-month suspension following a reported fallout with coach Pitso Mosimane.

Al Ahly striker Mahmoud Kahraba has returned to the squad after a one-month suspension following a reported fallout with coach Pitso Mosimane.

The reigning CAF Champions League champions suspended Kahraba for 30 days and handed him a fine after the 26-year-old reportedly snubbed a handshake and refused to speak to Mosimane after an Egyptian Premier League victory over El Gaish in February.

The club has now announced via a statement that Kahraba has apologised to Pitso Mosimane, the director of football Sayed Abdelhafiz and the rest of the squad.

Mamoud Kahraba, Al Ahly’s winger, apologized to Pitso Mosimane, our head coach, Sayed Abdelhafiz, director of football, and the team players before the team’s training session on Wednesday at El Tetsh stadium.

Abdelhafiz stated that Kahraba will join the team’s full training after the game against Al Merrikh SC, scheduled on 3 April in Matchday 5 of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Our winger, Kahraba trained away from his teammates to maintain his fitness level during his one-month suspension.

The Red Eagles flew to Sudan on Wednesday to face Al Merrikh SC on 3 April at Al Hilal stadium in Matchday 5 of the CAF Champions League group stage.
