The 22-year-old has been named as a starter for the first time in his Burnley career by Vincent Kompany. He was a substitute in their league win over Norwich at the weekend but now he’s getting a taste of the action right from the outset. Good luck to him!

Burnley and Foster flying in the Championship

Burnley find themselves in a commanding position at the summit of the EFL Championship. They’re 7 points ahead of second-placed Sheffield United and a massive 17 points ahead of third-placed Middlesbrough. The only need to finish inside the top 2 to gain automatic promotion to the Premier League. It would be a massive shock if Burnley weren’t a top-flight team come next season. Especially given their superb form and league standing.

Last time out, they beat Norwich City by a comfortable 3-0 score line away from home. Lyle Foster was a 73rd-minute substitute and acquitted himself well. Meanwhile, next up for the Clarets and Foster is an FA Cup fourth round replay against Ipswich. We’ll be watching Lyle Foster and his team’s progress closely.
