Ex-Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was beaten by armed, hooded robbers in his Barcelona home on Sunday evening.
According to Spanish source El Pais, Barcelona and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the victim of a violent robbery early this morning at his home in Castelldefels (Barcelona). At least four armed men climbed into the garden, threatened him with firearms and iron bars and beat him, according to police sources.
The thieves intimidated Aubameyang and his wife with weapons until they have managed to open a safe from which they stole several jewels and other valuables. The thieves, according to several witnesses, fled Aubameyang’s home in a white Audi A3.
Auba was an unused substitute in Barca’s comfortable 4-0 win against Real Valladolid last night at the Nou Camp. It’s a result which sees them continue their unbeaten start to the new LaLiga season. The 33-year-old striker is still the subject of intense interest from Premier League side Chelsea.
