Morocco stunned Belgium at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in Sunday, winning 2-0 to give themselves an excellent chance of progressing to the Round of 16.

According to Soccerzela, Mosimane said: “Morocco have been aggressive in their development, and I have no doubt they will dominate African football soon. They have the biggest vision on the continent, and they take their football very seriously. South Africa is 20 years behind.”

Heading into the ongoing World Cup, Morocco were ranked 22nd in the FIFA rankings and second in Africa behind Senegal.

Morocco drew their opening World Cup match 0-0 against Croatia before beating Belgium.

They will face already-eliminated Canada in their final Group F match on Thursday, 1 December at 17:00 (SA time).

A draw could be enough to see them reach the Round of 16 while a victory will guarantee them a spot in the next phase of the tournament.
