Breaking reports from Egypt have claimed that Pitso Mosimane remains as the top candidate for the vacant Bafana Bafana hot-seat!

Former Real Madrid manager Carlos Quieroz was odds-on favourite to land the Bafana Bafana job however it has since been claimed that he’s the second choice to Pitso Mosimane.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and current Al Ahly coach is reportedly Bafana Bafana’s first choice and despite rejecting the job already, the association as well as government are trying hard to get him on board.

Pitso Mosimane rejects Minister of Sport Nathi Mthethwa’s plea

Reports from Egypt have confirmed that Minister of Sport Nathi Mthethwa took it upon himself to try and persuade Pitso Mosimane to accept the Bafana Bafana coaching job however the Kagiso born mentor rejected the proposal.

It has since been claimed that an even higher government official will give it one last shot at trying to lure Pitso Mosimane back home. It remains to be seen who this official is just yet however it won’t be a surprise if president Cyril Ramaphosa is the man in question?

“According to Al Ahly legend and pundit, Ahmed Shobier, SAFA, are persistent with their offer as they even got the country’s Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture to call Mosimane to try and persuade him.” Egyptian publication KingFut reported.

“Despite Pitso Mosimane’s refusal yet again, SAFA have planned another meeting with him on Tuesday with an even higher ranked official, Shobeir confirmed on OnTime Sports TV.”
