Only the 10 group winners will progress to the next stage where Africa’s FIVE representatives at next year’s tournament in Qatar will be confirmed.

Bafana Bafana got their campaign off to a frustrating goalless draw away to Zimbabwe while Ghana held on for a 1-0 win over Ethiopia putting the Black Stars in pole position in the group.

Ghana have however been hard hit in the build-up to the match against Bafana Bafana after no fewer than FIVE first-choice players unable to travel to Covid-19 ‘red’-listed South Africa.
