Hugo Broos has called out Stuart Baxter (Kaizer Chiefs), Mandla Ncikazi (Orlando Pirates) and Rulani Mokwena (Mamelodi Sundowns) for taking cheap shots at him.

Hugo Broos has called out Stuart Baxter (Kaizer Chiefs), Mandla Ncikazi (Orlando Pirates) and Rulani Mokwena (Mamelodi Sundowns) for taking cheap shots at him.

Over the past few weeks different DStv Premiership coaches have criticized Broos on social media.
This is an approach that the Bafana coach is very frustrated and disappointed by as he believes they should contact him directly instead of taking ‘cheap shots’ at him.

“I can understand if they have questions or they are frustrated. But I can’t understand that you criticise a colleague in front of journalists. This is cheap,” expressed Broos to SowetanLive.
Broos is responding to comments made by Baxter, Ncikazi and Mokwena.

Ironically, Baxter was upset that Broos did not speak to him directly with the two coaches at odds over Njabulo Ngcobo’s best-suited position.
In contrast, Pirates coach Ncikazi critiqued the fact that Tshegofatso Mabasa was dropped from the recent Bafana Bafana squad.
While Sundowns co-coach Mokwena questioned Broos’ training methods and communication after the likes of Mothobi Mvala returned back from national duty injured.

The 69-year-old is hoping for better, more direct relations with the PSL top coaches in the future.
“Listen, I won’t talk about it any more. I have said what I said and this is enough for me,” said Broos.
“I hope, just hope, that in the future, if they are frustrated or they have questions, I will talk to them — why not?, expressed Broos.

Broos’ side take on Ghana away on Sunday evening in what is an all-important group decider.
Should Bafana Bafana draw or win, they will qualify for the next stage of World Cup Qualifiers.
