Hlongwane nets brace as Bafana Bafana rally to beat Mozambique!

Bongokuhle Hlongwane scored a brace as Bafana Bafana came froma goal down to beat Mozambique 2-1 at Mbombela Stadium on Thursday night.

Bongokuhle Hlongwane scored a brace as Bafana Bafana came froma goal down to beat Mozambique 2-1 at Mbombela Stadium on Thursday night.

Bafana Bafana came into the encounter as strong favourites but they were given an early shock as Mozambique opened the scoring through Nelson Divrassone in the 13th minute.

Hugo Broos’ men enjoyed ball possession in the first half with a number of half-chances created from the right-hand side.

However, they couldn’t turn those opportunities into goals as Mozambique defended in numbers to make sure that the don’t concede.

Bafana Bafana came from half-time break a better team as they played with more intent especially in the final third.

They were rewarded in the 57th minute when Hlongwane scored from a Nyiko Mobbie cross before taking the lead in the 60th minute through the former Maritzburg United man.

And that’s how the match ended as Bafana Bafana stamped their authority by dominating the game until the end.
