According to iDiskiTimes, SAFA CEO, Tebogo Motlanthe confirmed on Monday that they have already started the process. SAFA has written a formal letter of complaint towards referee, Maguette Ndiaye.

“The match officials decided the game which is not supposed to happen, so we as the association have decided that we will be writing to CAF and FIFA to investigate how the game was handled and secondly to also challenge some of the decisions,” he said.

“As we did last night we already registered with the match commissioner that we’ve already written a formal letter of complaint and today we’re travelling of course [back to South Africa],” expressed Motlanthe.

“We feel robbed because it’s not an isolated decision of the penalty, there are many questionable decisions from match officials and that’s why we’ll get experts to make a strong case,” confirmed Motlanthe.

SAFA will not go down without a fight. They will update the public on the situation in Wednesday’s press conference. This is not the only the only way South Africa is fighting back and getting behind Bafana Bafana.

PETITION STARTED FOR GHANA VS BAFANA RE-MATCH

The petition was started by Thato Majola and calls for a re-match at a neutral venue, with a referee from one of the Arab nations.

“We call upon FIFA’s ethics committee to investigate the Senegalese referee for possible match manipulation and influencing the result of a football match. We also call on FIFA to order a replay of the match in question at a neutral venue and appoint a referee from one of the Arab nations,” stated Majola.

Bafana supporters will be hoping at least one of their lifelines can bring their World Cup hopes back to life.
