Bafana Bafana: When next will they be in action?

Bafana Bafana are the toast of South African sport after their impressive victory over Ghana at the FNB Stadium on Monday night.

Playing in their second 2022 Soccer World Cup qualifier, Bafana Bafana won 1-0 thanks to the match-winner in the 83rd minute by Bongokuhle Hlongwane.

In last week’s first qualifier, Bafana Bafana were held to a goalless draw by neighbours Zimbabwe.

After two matches in the space of four days, Hugo Broos’ men will return to domestic action with their next World Cup qualifier – against Ethiopia – only scheduled for Wednesday, 6 October.

That match will take place in Ethiopia with a second match between the two sides currently scheduled for Sunday, 10 October in South Africa.

Bafana Bafana will fancy their chances against Ethiopia who are ranked a lowly 137th in the latest FIFA rankings.

South Africa are 73rd.
