The South African national team will travel to Belgium to take on Guinea on Friday, March 25 before facing current world champions France on their home turf on Tuesday, March 29.

Broos is in the early stages of preparing his side for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers which begin in June after the disappointment of their unsuccessful 2022 Soccer World Cup qualification campaign.

France are ranked third in the most recent FIFA rankings, with South Africa in 68th place and Guinea 81st.

The final list will be announced in due course, according to the SAFA website.

The team will travel to Paris on Monday, 21 March.

As with every squad, there are always ‘hard luck’ stories of players who missed out, either temporarily, of forever.

Two big-name absentees which immediately jump out are Mamelodi Sundowns duo Themba Zwane and Andile Jali.

Anyone else missing that you feel was hard done by?
