France coach gives big Mbappe update ahead of Bafana Bafana game

France coach Didier Deschamps has provided the news we all wanted to read regarding Kylian Mbappe ahead of Bafana Bafana.

Bafana Bafana defenders will live out their boyhood dreams of testing themselves against the best footballing nations such as  France. The event is just hours away.

FRANCE VS BAFANA BAFANA

The game will be played at the Stade Pierre Mauroy on Tuesday at 21:15. It will be the first meeting since South Africa earned a 2-1 win over Les Bleus during the 2010 World Cup.

As we understand how friendly internationals go, and as not so powerful nation, so we should not expect France’s manager Didier Deschamps to bring out his best men.

However, Deschamps has assured us that Kylian Mbappe will be involved.

Speaking to the media before a training session on Saturday, and after beating Ivory Coast 2-1 in a friendly on Friday night, Deschamps initially cast doubt over Mbappe.

“Kylian (Mbappe) is not going to do the session because of an ENT infection. I will take stock with him and the medical staff tomorrow,” the former France skipper said as quoted by Sports Illustrated.1

LATEST MBAPPE UPDATE1

The former France captain, who faced Bafana Bafana at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, has since given a new update.

Deschamps has promised that the Paris Saint-Germain star will on duty on Tuesday night.

“He is much better, he will be there on Tuesday,” Deschamps said as per ESPN h/t TF1.

Meanwhile, the SABC, who broadcasted South Africa’s friendly against Guinea last Friday via YouTube, are expected to do the same for the France game.
