Bafana Bafana will face Uganda in a friendly at the Orlando Stadium on Thursday, 10 June in their fourth all-time meeting against the Cranes as they look to extend their unbeaten record.

Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00.

It will be a depleted Bafana Bafana squad that takes to the field after coach Hugo Broos’ side were hit by a number of withdrawals, including star forward Percy Tau, due to injury and illness.

It’s not just on the field where Bafana Bafana will be short-handed.

In 2019 the teams met again in the COSAFA Cup that was staged in Durban, with Uganda invited as guests for the competition.

Dan Sserunkuma put the Ugandans ahead, before a strike from Luther Singh drew the home side level.

The match went to penalties and South Africa advanced 4-2 as goalkeeper Mondli Mpoto saved the first two spot-kicks in the shootout.

Bafana Bafana are ranked 75th in the world, while Uganda find themselves at 84th in the latest FIFA rankings.
