Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named his final 23-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Ghana in September.

Broos had initially named a 31-man preliminary squad that he promised to drill down to 23 closer to the two important matches.

Broos has opted for three goalkeepers in Bruce Bvuma, Ronwen Williams and Veli Mothwa in his final squad.

Mamelodi Sundowns dominate the defence with three representatives while Kaizer Chiefs have two players in the defence.

Broos also included a number of European-based players such Luther Singh, Percy Tau, Siyanda Xulu and Gift Links among others.

And this perhaps to add experience to the squad and bring in a different dimension against the two countries with equally capable stars in their ranks.

Bafana Bafana will first travel to Zimbabwe for a date with the Warriors on 6 September before hosting Ghana at the FNB Stadium on 9 September.
