Hugo Broos is looking to get his career at the helm of Bafana Bafana off to a winning start, but will not be there when they take on Uganda on Thursday, 10 June.

Hugo Broos is looking to get his career at the helm of Bafana Bafana off to a winning start, but will not be there when they take on Uganda on Thursday, 10 June.

Broos is in Belgium receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

He will be cheering from Belgium in what is his first game in charge of the national side.

Covid-19 is knocking at the door of the Bafana Bafana squad and has reached two key players – Percy Tau and Teboho Mokoena.

This will test the resolve of the players. It is already a young and inexperienced side.

Without Tau and Mokeona, more youngsters will get the chance to prove their value to the team.

The players are hungry to learn from this experience and want to impress the selectors early on.

Broos is looking for a revamp and is focused on form. This match acts as a trial for players but also a warm-up to the 2022 Soccer World Cup.

It is a huge match for the country since we are starting with a new coach and many players are starting their careers.

We are dawning in a new era of youngsters under Broos. Bafana need a win after missing out on the AFCON finals next year in Cameroon.

Broos is looking at rebuilding a side and returning Bafana to where they need to be. It all starts with a win against Uganda. Albeit, in his absence and without two stars.

Bafana take on Uganda at the Orlando Stadium.
