Jali’s omission from the latest Bafana Bafana squad that will face both Guinea and France raised a few eyebrows, and Hugo Broos’ comments also made matters worse.

According to Broos, Jali isn’t the type of player he needs in his Bafana Bafana team, but said. Monare, who is two years older than the Sundowns midfielder, fits the profile.

MONARE COMMENTS ON HIS BAFANA BAFANA SELECTION AND JALI’S EXCLUSION

“My job is on the field. I don’t dwell too much what is happening in the media or on social media,” Monare told reporters in Dobsonville.

“I feel like people have a right to their opinion, and I also have a right to my opinion but it doesn’t really matter to some other people.”

“My job is to represent my country on the field, not on social media. I really don’t look at those things. My focus now is to represent my country well, the best way that I can and we move forward,” concluded Monare.
