Bafana Bafana star wins Player of the Season award in Sweden

Bafana Bafana midfielder Luke Le Roux has won the Player of the Season award in Sweden following what was a successful campaign for him.

Le Roux featured in 26 of 30 Varbergs BoIS and his solid performances also caught the attention of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.

The 22-year-old contributed a single goal and an assist from the 26 matches he played for Varbergs despite being a defensive midfielder.

BAFANA BAFANA MIDFIELDER WINS BIG IN SWEDEN

Le Roux’s latest award is certainly his biggest in his career so far, especially given the fact that he moved to Sweden at a very young age.

Prior to his move to Sweden, Le Roux played for SuperSport United who signed him from Stellenbosch FC.

Overall, Le Roux has featured 79 times for Varbergs, a huge improvement from the three appearances he made at Matsatsantsa and just one at Stellies.
