As part of the FIFA World Cup coverage on SuperSport, they have broadcast a “betting show with a difference” called SuperPicks. In what appeared to have been a shocking blunder during a “rehearsal recording”, one of the show presenters, Tshepang Mollison – also known as “Twiggy Moli” – labels Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo a “p**s” when seemingly asked to make a call on whether they’d like to see him or Argentina’s Lionel Messi part of the triumphant team in Qatar.

SuperSport has now issued an “unreserved” apology to say they are aware of the video that is circulating, while stating that “this was a rehearsal that was not meant for broadcast”.

She has now issued her own apology on social media.

“I would like to apologise unreservedly for my unfortunate use of profane language in a recorded rehearsal that ended up going viral … The past few days have been the most difficult for me, and I acknowledge that the public outrage that followed, despite how hurtful it was for me, was legitimate.

“To those who follow my work, I have let you down and I aim to do better and I look forward to getting back to creating great content.”

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Saudi side Al Nassr on a breathtaking R3.5 billion-per year deal.

Ronaldo has apparently agreed a two-and-a-half year deal, as reported by Spanish newspaper outlet Marca.

Earlier this month, Manchester United confirmed that Ronaldo will leave the club by mutual agreement.

This is as a direct result of Ronaldo’s much-maligned interview with Piers Morgan, in which he lambasted Manchester United, manager Erik ten Hag, former teammates Rooney and Gary Neville, Ralf Rangnick and Glazer family, who owns the club.

The Portuguese international accused the club of betrayal and added that he believed that he was being forced out.

However, following his ‘divorce’ with the Red Devils, he emphasised that there were no hard feelings between him and the club.

“Following conversations with Manchester United we have mutually agreed to end our contract early,” he said in his statement as quoted by EuroSport.

“I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge.

“I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future.”
