BREAKING: Al Ahly’s update on reported contract dispute with Mosimane!

Al Ahly director of marketing and contracts Amir Tawfiq has issued an official update on the reported contractual dispute with Pitso Mosimane.

Al Ahly director of marketing and contracts Amir Tawfiq has issued an official update on the reported contractual dispute with Pitso Mosimane.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Al Ahly, through Tawfiq, said both the club and Mosimane agreed to finish the current contract without any amendments to his salary.

Mosimane’s contract is coming to an end at the end of the 2021-22 seson, but what’s important is that the Kagiso-born coach DID NOT ask for a salary increase.

“He (Tawfiq) said that it was agreed to complete the current contract that ends at the end of the 2021/2022 season without any amendment to the coach’s salary, and that Pitso did not ask for any increase in his salary,” reads part of the statement.

According to Tawfiq, Al Ahly are committed to keeping Mosimane as their head coach for the foreseeable future as they still believe in him.

Tawfiq made it clear that, at this stage, Mosimane is the only coach Al Ahly feel is capable of achieving success with the club.

The statement reads that Mosimane is still happy at the club and is eager to continue working for Al Ahly and rewriting the history books with the Club of the Century.

Furthermore, Mosimane and Al Ahly agreed to iron out future matters that the coach and the club raised in the meeting at the end of his contract.

“Tawfiq added that the session, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, also witnessed a positive dialogue about some future matters.

“And there was a great understanding between the two parties, and it was agreed to resolve all these matters at the end of the current contract,” concluded the statement.
