Mokwena was promoted to the position of head coach in October 2022 following Sundowns’ heavy defeat to Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 semi-finals. Since taking charge, Sundowns have looked rampant and unstoppable in the league, leading to many believing that they will successfully defend their league title.
