Scotland engineered a dramatic victory to beat France 32-26 in their Six Nations clash at Murrayfield on Sunday.
Two Teddy Thomas tries and two Maxime Machenaud penalties helped France into a 20-14 lead over Scotland at half-time, but the hosts answered all the questions asked of them and snatched a thrilling win to earn their first points of the tournament.
Greig Laidlaw’s kicking boot earned the Scots 22 of their points with a week-long break now beckoning before the clash against defending champions England.
Celebrating his restoration to Scotland’s starting line-up for the first time in 12 months, the 32-year-old, who plays his club rugby in France for Clermont, heaped praise on his teammates.
“I’m proud of the whole team,” said Laidlaw. “I thought our forward pack were outstanding.”
