French Top 14 giants Racing 92 have reportedly tabled a lucrative offer in an attempt to lure Warrick Gelant from Cape Town to Paris.

UNITED RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP: BULLS TAME THE LIONS AT ELLIS PARK

Gelant joined the Stormers two years ago from the Bulls, but is said to be considering a move to the French club who have made the Springbok fullback an offer he surely can’t refuse.

The Parisian club’s offer is said to be in the region of €450 000 (R7.7 million) per season – considerably more than he currently earns at Western Province.

No-brainer that Warrick Gelant signs?

Considering SA Rugby’s current policy of selecting players based abroad for the Springboks, it would appear a no-brainer that Gelant signs on the dotted line.

Warrick Gelant’s current contract ends in June this year and it’s believed that the talks regarding an extension between the player and the union have broken down.

Racing 92 recently secured the services of Springbok prop Trevor Nyakane.

Gelant, 26, has nine Springbok caps to his name.
