Check out this awesome interaction between Stormers flank Hacjivah Dayimani and a young fan who asked him for his silver runners-up URC medal on Saturday.

As the Stormers’ hopes of back-to-back URC titles lay in ruins after Munster stunned them 19-14 in the final in front of a packed out Cape Town Stadium last night, they had to settle for second best, which brought with it silver runners-up medals.

While most fans wouldn’t ordinarily be taken with or ask for a silver medal after their favourite team lost, one little supporter approached Dayimani to ask if he can have the player’s medal.

Always a good sport, Dayimani had a brilliant response as he challenged the boy to ask for the medal in Zulu.

“If you say it in Zulu, I’ll give it to you,” the Stormers blindside flank explains.

The excitedly answers back with: “Really?” and then proceeds to shout “iMedalje”.

That said, despite the heartbreaking manner of the defeat, Munster fully deserved the victory. The Irish visitors had the Stormers on the back-foot from the outset and that set the scene for a dominant display from start to finish.
