Those supporters watching the Bulls v Stormers United Rugby Championship (URC) clash at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday would’ve been pulling their hair out in the dying minutes when the live pictures died.

Host broadcaster SuperSport experienced technical difficulties in the final 10 minutes with the Bulls ahead 26-23 having clawed their way back from a 18-7 half-time deficit.

Those in the SuperSport studio kept viewers abreast of what was happening in Pretoria and Stormers fans would’ve been delighted to hear – rather that see – that their team had taken the lead with a handful of minutes remaining.

Replacement scrumhalf Paul de Wet scored the match-winning try in the 76th minute with flyhalf Manie Libbok adding the conversion to give the Cape side an upset bonus-point win.

John Dobson’s men hung on in the final seconds to record a famous win over Jake White’s men.

Earlier in the day, the Sharks beat the Lions 47-37 at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.

After six matches for all four South African teams competing in the tournament, it’s the Sharks in 10th place in the 16th team log who lead the way for Mzansi.

The Stormers are in 12th, the Lions 13th and the Bulls a lowly 15th at this stage.
