Somewhat embarrassingly, due to “unforeseen circumstances” relating to their travel document requirements, brothers Vincent and Emmanuel Tshituka will no longer be available for the Lions’ United Rugby Championship (URC) fixture against Leinster on Friday, 25 February in Dublin.

The Tshitukas were originally named in the 26-man Lions travelling squad on Sunday.

Lunga Ncube will join the squad in Dublin as cover.

Vincent, 23, and Emmanuel, 21, were both born in the DR Congo.

Someone at the Johannesburg franchise clearly didn’t do their homework!

It’s been a woeful URC campaign for the Lions

The Lions have had a woeful URC campaign to date and lie 14th in the 16-team log with just 12 points from their nine matches to date.

They face a daunting task against a red-hot Leinster side who are second in the standings with 39 points after 10 games.

Kick-off on Friday is at 21:35 SA time.
