Predictions, results and fixtures for Round 7 of Super Rugby 2020 follows below this preview.

Round seven in Super Rugby sees action from Friday morning until Sunday morning, including a couple of major clashes.

The weekend starts off with the Chiefs hosting the Hurricanes in Waikato on Friday morning. This match could have implications in the race for top spot in the New Zealand Conference.

Another team threatening to claim first place is the Blues, who will host the Lions at 05:25 at Eden Park.

The Blues have rolled back the years in recent weeks, returning to the form which made them a force to be reckoned with in the early days of Super Rugby. The Lions are in for a fight in Auckland.

The Sunwolves host the Crusaders next before the Bulls visit the Reds at 10:15. Rosko Specman’s hat-trick saw Pote Human’s men claim their first win of the season against the Highlanders and they will be eager to build on that.

Finishing off Saturday’s action is the tussle for top spot in the South African conference between the Sharks and the Stormers at Kings Park. Both teams have lost just once this season, so the winner of the 15:05 clash can probably consider themselves to be amongst the title contenders.

The Jaguares are at home this weekend, which means viewers have the option of staying up to watch their 1AM clash with the Highlanders. The weekend then finishes off with an Australian derby between the Brumbies and the Waratahs at the GIO Stadium.
