Super Rugby 2020 continues this Friday and Saturday with three exciting derbies on the cards. It may be early days in the season, but this could be the ideal time for statements of intent.

After the first round of Super Rugby action saw the Sharks beat the Bulls at home, the Durban side will kick off round 2 away to the Highlanders, who will kick off their season at the Forsyth Barr Stadium on Friday.

Later that morning comes the Aussie derby between the Brumbies and the Rebels at the GIO Stadium. Having beaten the Reds there last weekend, the hosts will want to announce themselves as the Australian frontrunners.

Saturday sees the Chiefs host the Crusaders at Waikato’s FMG Stadium in a match which could go some way towards deciding the title. Both sides got off to winning starts last weekend against the Blues and Waratahs respectively.

The Tahs will be in action against the Blues at the McDonald Jones Stadium in the other Saturday clash.

The Lions host the Reds at Emirates Airline Park on Saturday before the Stormers and the Bulls renew their rivalry at Newlands.

The Stormers started in style with a 27-0 win over the Hurricanes, but with Siya Kolisi potentially out for around six weeks due to an injury picked up in that game, they will have to rally together.

The Hurricanes will be looking to get their season back on track away to the Jaguares, who demolished the Lions 38-8 in their opening fixture.
