The Super Rugby derby between the Stormers and the Bulls hits Newlands Rugby Stadium for the last time on Saturday.

The Stormers, who will move away from their historic home ground after this season, will be hoping to continue the momentum gathered in their 27-0 win over the Hurricanes.

The victory was marred by injuries to captain Siya Kolisi and Springbok hooker Bongi Mbonambi.

“Siya has done a knee injury,” Dobson said post-match according to SARugbyMag. “He is being scanned. It is not an incidental injury. It is a hell of a blow, losing your skipper in the first 20 minutes of a campaign, given what he means to the team. So, it is a big blow.

“Bongi has done some hamstring damage, I am not sure. He is also being scanned. I don’t think they will be in the mix for next week, obviously.”

The latest on the injuries at the time of writing is that Siya Kolisi could miss six weeks of Super Rugby action.

The Bulls will look to take full advantage. After a 23-15 loss to the Sharks in Durban, they can ill afford many more slip-ups, particularly against their South African rivals.

As John Dobson anticipated, Kolisi and Mbonambi are out injured.

The Springbok captain is replaced by Johan du Toit at eighthman. He will scrum alongside his brother in the loose trio, with Jaco Coetzee the other component.

Scarra Ntubeni comes in at hooker and his experience will surely come in handy.

Trevor Nyakane is the only addition to the Bulls’ starting XV with loosehead Lizo Gqoboka partnering him at prop.
