Stormers keen to lure Aphelele Fassi down the coast to the Cape – report

Springbok and Sharks utility back Aphelele Fassi has been linked with a move to down the coast to the Stormers in Cape Town.

Springbok and Sharks utility back Aphelele Fassi has been linked with a move to down the coast to the Stormers in Cape Town.

Afrikaans Sunday newspaper Rapport reported that the Stormers are “making good progress” in securing Fassi’s services.

Fassi’s contract with the Sharks expires in December 2023.

Aphelele Fassi has played 3 Tests for South Africa

The 25-year-old has been on the Sharks’ books since 2018 having been schooled at Dale College in the Eastern Cape.

Fassi in equally at home in the fullback and wing jerseys.

He has three Test caps to his name.

However, Fassi is on the books of Roc Nation, the American sports marketing giants, and with their close affiliation with the Sharks, they are unlikely to be eager to see him join their arch-rivals.
